Assistant Bar Manager

Due to increased customer demand, we are expanding our Team. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our highly successful, dynamic, fun, and lively team.

In this challenging position, your main responsibility will be to oversee the daily operation of the bar; working alongside senior management and team members, to ensure that the highest level of customer service is being delivered and the expectations of our guests are consistently exceeded and ensuring exceptional customer service. Going above and beyond for the bar and being the ‘face’ of our brand values; while building and leveraging strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and team members.
The drinks side of our business takes just as much centre stage as our delicious tapas. We offer an extensive and hugely popular cocktail list, premium wines, and a variety of rare spirits. We are looking for a passionate and charismatic Assistant Bar Manager that shares our values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general day to day management and running of the bar
  • Supervising bar team; ensuring the team deliver high service requirements and meet sales objectives
  • Executing and driving proactive drink offers and specials
  • Enhance brand visibility & drive social media engagement marketing. Including collaborating with senior management to deliver scaled posts and opportunities
  • Establish strong and professional relationships with our guests, ensuring that an inspirational service is always delivered
  • Create new cocktails and drink offerings in-line with the company brand
  • Ensure the correct measurements and other license regulations are being followed by the team
  • Work alongside senior management to ensure a smooth and high-quality service

Essential Key Skills

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, luxury venue is preferred
  • Demonstrate a key passion for cocktails and proactive drinks specials
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beverages, quality products and ingredients
  • Ability to grow, develop & promote our existing menu
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Capable of motivating a team through leadership
  • Strong communication skills, to effectively communicate with different areas of the business
  • Excellent attention to delivering inspirational service to our guests

Andalucia Tapas and Wine bar is a thriving tapas & wine bar in Ferring, offering training and incredible career development. This is a managerial role which means that you will be expected to work the hours as required by customer demand. You will need to be flexible with the dates and times you are able to work.

Salary: Is up to £9.75 per hour dependent on age & experience. This role would also benefit from all card & cash gratuities & a bi-annual incentive bonus scheme offered to all full-time staff.

Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic kitchen porter to support our kitchen team. This is an integral role to our busy, lively kitchen. We require a kitchen porter who shares our values, has a strong work ethic, and takes great pride in their work.

The successful candidate will work in the kitchen as a kitchen porter, responsible for washing up, putting deliveries away, cleaning the kitchen and basic food preparation.

This role has great development opportunities so would be perfectly suited to somebody who is wishing to start their career in food management or hospitality.

Front of House / Waiting / Bar staff

We are looking for passionate Front of House waiting and bar staff to join our dynamic team. We seek staff with a passion for hospitality, who can confidently deliver exceptional, 5-star service to our guests.

Job Responsibilities include
  • Adhering to COVID-19 & UK government regulations.
  • Delivering amazing customer experience for our guests and maintaining our brand values.
  • Being a point of contact for our guests, taking orders, food running and ensuring that customers have a truly memorable dining experience with Restaurante Andalucia.
  • Willingness to always go the extra mile.
  • Working in our bar team making and serving cocktails and all drinks required. You will be able to prepare and serve hot beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as instructed.
  • Ensure that the dining area is always in place and in a clean, tidy condition.
  • Being knowledgeable with our menu and to ensure that dietary requirements are carefully relayed to the kitchen.
  • Working within a team and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.

Section Chef

We are looking for a passionate chef who can confidently deliver exceptional, 5-star service to our guests. At the same time, you will have the food knowledge and skills to support the team to deliver exceptional food, and in turn a superb guest experience. You will work with the kitchen team to ensure consistently high standards in preparation, service, and kitchen management. In this challenging position you will help shape our guests dining experience by preparing and cooking extraordinary authentic Spanish food.

This role has development opportunities so would be perfectly suited to somebody who is wishing to take their career to a new level.

Requirements

The successful applicant will need to be proactive, approachable and have a strong work ethic. You would need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, showcasing energy and resilience. Have an optimistic attitude and remain positive in changing circumstances, keeping difficulties in perspective, and maintaining calm under pressure.

Proven work experience in a professional kitchen is required. 3-4 years’ experience and a NVQ level 3 is preferable.

Advanced kitchen preparation skills are needed, with a strong background of cooking with fresh high-quality ingredient, ideally within the Mediterranean cuisine and gastronomy.

Familiar with food hygiene and kitchen Health and Safety. Online food safety and allergens training will be required.

You will need to manage inventory levels in your section and have a strong understanding of yield and cost control. This role has great development opportunities, so we require eagerness, ambition, and passion.
